Dogs under 40 pounds can stay for free, and if you have a larger dog, you could always write to them with a special request. Locally baked treats from Three Dog Bakery are available for your pets for some indulgence, and the hotel has also installed artificial grass on their rooftop. There are also easy hiking routes available around the vicinity, and you could just take your pet on a pooch-friendly outdoor seating.

The Peninsula, Beverly Hills, LA 
Bring your “A” game on as this hotel treats both your pet and you like celebrities. With a Forbes Five Star rating in Southern California, all animals are welcome to this hotel and they get to have their own concierge service! Dogs especially feel overly pampered with monogrammed towels and grooming services like puppy massage or a “pawdicure” with nail polish included. If you are stopping for a gourmet dinner, so can your dog! The gourmet pet menu has a doggie burger made with ½ a pound beef, vegetables and salmon with brown rice. To top it all, your dog gets to dine on a plush doggie bed! Rooms start at $670 a night with an additional $35 per night/pet. 

Hotel Monaco, Denver, CO
This hotel is also open for some of the unconventional pets, like Sloths which have been seen on the premise. There are several hiking options available. Room prices start at $152 with no added fees for any type of animal. However, a waiver is required. 

Palomar, Philadelphia, PA 
Pet pigs are often said to be regular here at Palomar but they have been quite open with visitors of all kinds and shapes. The usual comfort like pet food, bowls, and pick-up backs are made available, but what is particularly intriguing is the location of the hotel. It is conveniently located near Rittenhouse Square and Schuylkill River park and it is a very quick drive to some of the major tourist destinations around. You could either take your pet with you or at just an additional cost of $20/hour on weekdays and $25/hour on weekends, the hotel organizes for a pet sitter. Room rates start at $224 with no additional pet fee. 

Guesthouse Hotel, Chicago, IL
The hotel gives an “at home” feel even if you are far away from home. Enjoy the beach at the neighborhood dog beach, or you could leave your pet under the careful eyes of licensed pet walkers and pet sitters while you enjoy your day off. Rooms start at $200. The hotel allows only dogs and there is no additional charge up to two well-behaved dogs of any size.
